Why are you voting?

Before Tuesday rolls around and we experience the most important election of my lifetime, I want to do what I can to make sure that everyone who can vote does. That’s why I’m giving one short reason why I’m voting. I’d like to ask you to do the same. Record a short video of yourself answering the question: Why are you voting?

Post your response on your blog, tumblr, twitter, facebook, myspace, or wherever you can. Ask your friends to record a response as well. Let’s give everyone a great reason to make it to the polls on Tuesday.

If you do record a reponse, I’d love it if you’d share it with me. Reply to me on twitter (@mattmc) with the video link or email me (matt at pixelspread.com) with the subject line “Why are you voting?” and the video link. If I can collect enough reponses, I’d love to put together a site full of them before Tuesday.

Video contents:

My name is Matt and I’m voting for president because this is the first chance that I can. I’m twenty years old and I’ve had to live through eight years of the Bush administration without an opportunity to vote against it. I don’t think I’d be able to live with myself for another four if I didn’t exercise my right to change that. Why are you voting?

Reblog this, spread it, try to convince one more person to vote. Thank you.
