A History of the Stick Figure by Eric Lewallen. A great history of the icon we’ve come to know so well. And perhaps even more interesting than the stick figure is Otto Neurath’s idea that words are the basis of misunderstanding, leading him to create a universal language. Perhaps a universal language of logograms is where we’re all heading anyway. Click through to Eric’s site for more information mentioned in the video.
